Running this weekend

OK - For the past four months I've worked my behind off trying to get ready for the longest run, so far, in my life. I'm running the Steamboat Half-Marathon on 6/7/09. My coach says I'm ready but I'm not sure. I'm just glad I'm not trying to totally kill myself with running a full marathon.

This week I have been a little emotional as I am anxious about the run, and have been thinking about my brothers and friends who have passed away due to cancer. Other friends who are currently battling cancer has also been in my thoughts and prayers.

Hope you are doing well. Thank God for our wellness. It sure could be different!!

First time out

After loosing my second brother to cancer I have joined a cancer group to raise money and awareness for blood cancers. Team in Training (TNT) helps train people to complete marathons, hikes and triathelons. In return those participants raise money for cancer research and families affected by cancer.

For more information please see my TNT web sight at;

I thank those who have already given encouragement, advise, and money toward my endevor. This blog is an attempt for me to stay in touch and let you know how my training is going.
